Lindsay Crofts is a classically trained violinist and string educator from Chicago, IL. She began her journey playing the violin at the age of three at the Western Springs School of Talent and Education.

As a child, Lindsay learned to play the violin through the Suzuki Method which gave her a strong technical foundation as a violinist - this ultimately gave her the skills to major in Violin Performance at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Alongside her love of performing, Lindsay enjoyed teaching young children to play the violin and pursued Instrumental Music Education as a double major.

Upon graduating cum laude, Lindsay began teaching as an orchestra director in the public schools in Illinois. Over the past decade, she has taught in 5 different school districts throughout Illinois, California, and Texas. In all of her positions as orchestra director, Lindsay combined her strong skills as a performer and passion for music to strengthen every program she directed.  Lindsay accomplished this by inspiring her students, parents, and administrators, ultimately developing a culture that recognizes the importance of the fine arts for young people.

In addition to serving students in the public schools, Lindsay co-owned Suzuki Strings of Austin from 2013-2018 while living in Austin, TX. SSOA is a private violin, viola and cello Suzuki music studio that aims to not only give students and families a positive music education environment with high performance standards, but to foster creativity, sensitivity, and self-expression in every child.

Lindsay currently resides and teaches in Dallas, TX. Currently, she is the Suzuki instructor at Sam Johnson Elementary School in Prosper ISD where she runs a Suzuki program of 50 students.

Lindsay also teachers privately from her home in Northwest Dallas. She upholds the teaching philosophies of Dr. Suzuki and the Suzuki Method as it nurtures the "whole child". Lindsay teaches students beginning at age 3 and up. Lindsay's studio currently has a waitlist. Contact Lindsay about lessons for your child and to be added to the waitlist.

Outside of teaching and performing, Lindsay enjoys running outdoors, cooking with her husband, and playing with her dog.
